ABOUT US

Orbit Industries was founded in 1965 by James Clemons with a commitment to
excellence in Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant inspection
techniques. The company operated from two facilities in greater Cleveland.
Orbit was purchased by Robert Smetana, John Alexandrovic, the current President,
and Daniel Druso in 1980. Operations were consolidated into one facility in
Middleburg Hts, Ohio. Business expanded rapidly and the company "outgrew"
its shop. In 1982 a second shop was acquired down the street and the company
operated again from two facilities. The new facility quickly became too small and
it was expanded to its current size of 70,000 square feet in 1985 and everything
was moved into one facility.

Robert Smetana divested his ownership of the company in 1992 through the sale
of his interest to his daughters Mary and Therese. John Alexandrovic assumed
the title of President of the company at that time.

Mr. Alexandrovic led a buyout of the Smetana family interests in July, 2002 and
continues in his role as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Orbit has the capabilities of handling parts and materials of virtually every size
and shape. Our experienced technical staff is committed to quality NDT coupled
with excellence in customer service. We routinely inspect a variety of material
types that include aluminum, titanium, steel and copper alloys in the appropriate
NDT methods. Our willingness to respond to our customers needs is the leading
reason for our growth and increased capabilities. Orbit continues to grow by
maintaining the principle that the company was founded on 37 years ago, "A
commitment to excellence in Ultrasonics, Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant
inspection techniques."
